SubhanAllah
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ
Transliteration
SubhanAllah
Meaning
Glory be to Allah.
Beginner note
A short remembrance that turns your heart back toward Allah. Useful when your mind has wandered off.
Beginner reference
A short, source-tagged set of duas and remembrance phrases to start from. Learn a few of them properly before you add more.
15 entries in total, picked to be learnable rather than exhaustive.
Quranic wording and hadith wording are labeled separately.
Your own words are welcome too, and this page marks them as yours rather than transmitted.
If you might hurt yourself, feel unsafe, are being abused, or cannot get through the day, call emergency services, a crisis line, a clinician, or a local professional you trust. Dua and practical help work together. One does not replace the other.
Start with a few short phrases you can understand and repeat easily. Dhikr is not a race, and nobody is counting.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحُزْنِ، وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ، وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ

رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا
Transliteration

Our Lord, pour patience upon us and make our steps firm.
Beginner note
A Quranic dua for the moment right before something hard, when you need patience and nerve at once.
Repentance is not reserved for the big failures. It is an ordinary, regular return to Allah, done honestly and with hope.

Meaning
O Allah, You are my Lord. I admit Your blessings and my sins, so forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.

Transliteration

Meaning
My Lord, open my heart, make my task easy, loosen the knot from my tongue, and let my words be understood.
Beginner note
This is the dua of Prophet Musa, peace be upon him. Many new Muslims say it before a conversation they have been dreading.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا

Meaning
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.
Beginner note
Useful before a class on Islam, and just as useful before work, school, or learning a skill.
You can call on Allah in the language you actually think in. Just keep your own wording separate in your mind from Quranic and Prophetic wording.
There is no fixed Arabic wording for this one.
Meaning
Example: O Allah, guide me, forgive me, make prayer easy for me, and place good people in my life.
Beginner note
This is personal wording, not a transmitted dua. Ask Allah for what you need, in your own language, in your own words.
Say SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, and Allahu akbar slowly. Add the full count once that feels steady.
Say one short dua, breathe, then do one practical thing: call someone safe, get out of danger, ask for help.
Ask Allah for useful knowledge and an open heart before a class, a book, or a hard conversation.
